Overall, it's a really nice lake--a great place to spend an afternoon.
You can catch fish in the lake, but don't expect to make a big catch. Also, swimming is sadly not allowed. So don't try it unless you want the local cops to yell at you.
Great fishing
Beautiful views, good fishing and not too crowded. They do have a camping policy, which seems to be the standard 14 day stay, but I did my see any designated camp sites. Great area to walk your dog or just relax and enjoy the sunset. I didn't give it 5 starts because of the noisy neighborhood dogs, which bark all night.
This is a beautiful little lake on the north side of Medicine Lodge. Park permits are not required, and camping and fishing is free. There is an unpaved nature trail on the north end that's good for family hikes, walking the dog, jogging, walking, or mountain biking. It has a shorter more civilized route, or you can take a longer route (it takes sharp eyes to see the turn off close to either end of the main trail) that gets fairly rugged. Probably wouldn't call the entire trail wheelchair accessible. If you continue on the gravel road, you can go clear around the lake.
Just know it's quite, no showers. But the city park had some, that you can use.
Nice little lake will be returning to fish there soon
